Over the past decade, Apple set a string of U.S. firsts: the first American company to reach $1T (2018) and $2T (2020), then the first to close above $3T (2023). It later reached $4T (2025), but wasn’t the first to do so — Nvidia got there in July 2025 amid the AI boom, with Microsoft following later that month.
